Dad/Marv's visit in May and June 2000

Dad enjoyed seeing us all during his visit this year. Besides visiting with us locals, we drove to Toronto to see John and his family. The visit corresponded with Nell's school's production of "Hair", and we attended her wonderful performance.

We arrived in town early on Friday and stopped at Toronto's CN Tower before lunch. The CN Tower is the world's tallest free-standing "building". Dad had watched the tower being built when he lived in Toronto many years ago. The view was great!

Later we met John at work and were introduced to his co-workers. They convinced him to take the afternoon off, since we arrived so early. We had a nice visit and then Dad napped while John brought me to his new grocery store. It's like an indoor mall with live music, loft seating, huge wall murals, kiosks with everything from dry cleaners to travel agencies, and the biggest grocery store I've ever seen! I can't wait till they build one near me.

Julie came home from work and Jane came over for the evening with us. She lives in an apartment in the city now. We posed during dinner preparations. Dad needed a sweatshirt - he's not used to the May weather in the north anymore.
Here's Brother John ("Dan", to the Canadians)!
And Sister-in-law Julie ("Julia" actually)!

Julie has filled the walls with photo collections. Behind her is the Back Wall which is filled with wonderful pictures of people's backs. There is also a long braid of Jane's hair, and photos when it was being cut off, of her back, of course. The Back Wall is definately a conversation piece.

Julie sang along with the music from "Hair" playing on the CD. "Let the Sunshine - Let the SUNSHINE IN - the sun shine in!" We all joined in for the chorus!
John and Jane - I love this one.
Jane Renee - Herweeness self! Oh, Jane's email address is now posted on the Family Email Reference. It's Herweeness@hotmail.com.

Oh, and coming soon to this website, will be the Jane D Webpages. These will have expanded coverage of her trip to Central America and will continue to grow with old and new coverage of special events in Jane's life.

Then we enjoyed a wonderful low-fat turkey spagetti dinner. John's cooking is always fabulous!
Nell was home Saturday. She was tired but excited after the Friday night show and cast party, and had to get ready for the final Saturday evening show we all attended.

Oh, and coming soon to this website, will be the Nell D Webpages. These will have expanded coverage of her Groove Club experiences and will continue to grow with old and new coverage of special events in Nell's life.

Nell is posing as the character "Chrissy" she plays while singing the song Frank Mills in the school's rendition of "Hair". Our own talented Nell performed wonderfully in the performance we saw - it brought tears to my eyes! The whole cast did a grand job - this is Wexford, after all. Her best friend, Rebecca, played "Sheila" very well too!
