In October Betty and I made our traditional visit to Sweden. As usual we stayed with my brother Gunnar and his wife Cathrine. This time we drove our rental car south all the way down to the city of Gothenberg the gateway to the North Atlantic. Several of my family members live in this area and we met cousins that we hadn't seen for many years. On the way we also visited the city of Skövde which is actually my birthplace. A few of my aunts are still alive but true to the statistics my uncles have all gone on to happier hunting grounds (whatever that means). We also visited the city of Karlstad, home of our friend Anita Örtqvist, who many of you know from their stay here years ago. I visited with my high school classmates from the 1946 graduating class and together we renewed memories from a time in our past when we were a very young seventeen. This year we all celebrated our 70th birthday and we agreed to be very thankful for reaching this milestone in our lives. We returned home to enjoy some of nature's last display of fall grandeur and now we are settled in for the long winter.

| This Swedish scene was one of the beautiful photos he sent. Below are - A scene from the country side of Sweden, and - The castle in Eric's hometown which goes back to the 13th century. |
