Eric Visits Family in Sweden - His Hometown

Photos and News from Eric/Nov.2007:
Just a few words regarding my trip to Sweden. My travel went fairly well and with the help of a wheel chair and with my newly acquired defibrillator I was able to avoid the long lines at the X-ray stations. Since I don't get around real well anymore I was pretty much confined to staying in one place and that was at my brother and sister-in-law's apartment. So I don't have any interesting scenery shots to offer, just photos of family members etc. and that would not be of interest.

I did participate in yet another high school class reunion. It was our 61st anniversary. Our first reunion was in 1996 when we celebrated our 50th and since then we have met almost every year. But at an age of 78 it is questionable how long we can continue to meet.

Eric's old school building - torn down the year after he graduated. He says it wasn't his class's fault - SURE!

Ah, Eric, the "hottie" next to you in both photos - That's YOU making her laugh, huh? You Devil!

Note from October 2007, before Eric left for Sweden:
On the subject of birthdays I can mention that in Sweden three of my old aunts on my mother's side are still alive and are celebrating while I am there. The youngest is aunt Annalisa who will be 85, then aunt Birgit 88 and aunt Ingeborg who will be 90 years old. On my father's side there is only one aunt left and she is going to be 98 in May. All the uncles have been gone for many years now and perhaps that serves to prove that you girls have a tendency to live longer.
